They do not value the Catholic values of loving a person and accepting them. They did not want to accept my husband's younger sister because they didn't feel she was smart enough and claimed that they had a reputation to uphold. Despite the fact that she had a troubled past that had nothing to do with her academic potential, they still judged the fact that she was from a public school from the mainland and even went as far as saying that they do not accept incoming 8th graders. REALLY............................... one of the first questions they asked were: "is she coming from a private or public school?"
Does that matter? This school will always be crap in my eyes. I know alumnae from this school who are just working at mcdonalds.
As a alumni of 2010 looking back on how this school influenced me, I'd have to say it did not prepare me for any of my endeavors whatsoever. There is a conceited know it all teacher named Mrs. Dunn who sets and promotes guidelines for the school. I honestly have to say her effort is unsatisfactory. She also diverts from class subjects like science and religion to ask unrelated questions that so not benefit us in anyway. All of the alumni after me who graduated can also agree this school does not prepare us for the future. I do not recommend sending your kids to this school.
Friendly Staff and very qualified teachers Strong sense of ohana and very helpful. Go SES!~!! Since it is a small school, students are known by most everyone.
There are high expectations that can be reached through determination and consistency. However, even with a lot of effort, some students may struggle. With the available resources, teachers reach out to meet the needs of each student.
