I can always find I need, try new items, and have many choices. Employees are kind and helpful. Location for me is convenient. Recommend this store location.
The absolute friendliest most helpful staff at any grocery store I've been to on island! Extremely convenient location for those who live in Aiea/Pearl area. The produce is always fresh and the prices are great for membership (membership is free). The aisles are a little cramped but worth it for the experience. I've only ever been here twice when the lines were very long. Every other time, there were either short lines or they quickly opened additional registers to handle lengthening lines.
We RARELY EVER get the $5 Friday specials. They always run out.That's the only day we can afford to shop there. Produce is so overpriced haven't bought any in 3 yrs. All the pretty new racks and displays, YOU are paying for them with their inflated prices. I'm still looking for the alleged lower prices. I come out of there with angry feelings due to not having advertised items. And you can't eat a rain check for dinner. Employees are very nice and food quality is good. We just can't afford to shop at "Whole Foods Jr"or be disappointed over not having the advertised things we can afford.
The only reason I gave Safeway 3 stars because they always run out of the product I want. The location is great, the staff is friendly, and I love the Safeway app.
I like shopping at Safeway for their variety of frozen foods, fresh veggies/fruits and dairy products. However, since the remodeling of the Waimalu store they no longer carry some of my favorites. What's the deal with rearranging the aisles??
