When I have more time, I will come back and try the other tasty looking pastries.
I know sometimes we all have a bad day, but as a cashier, being that happy friendly front line person is what you are paid for (I know, as I did it for MANY years). It’s really a reflection and the last impression of your interaction with that business. So unfortunately I had to take some stars off because of it.
SERVICE (5/5): Exemplary service. I actually purchased a soda to go with my pastry and when I went back to get a refill I noticed that it foamed over while the worker was refilling it and instead of just handing it back to me afterwards she wiped down the cup beforehand.
I only got a half order of the mochi waffle. My wife loved it!
The only thing I did not like was the customer service. The cashier looked miserable. She did not smile at all. I asked her a question about one of their products and all she said was “I dunno” and then started at me blankly. When I finished paying I told her that I hope that she had a better day and whatever it was would soon pass and get better. Still no reaction.
So the food was good, and I would return to try them again. I just hope that the customer service would be better.
So tasty. The bread is amazing to take home for sandwiches, toast, and best of all French toast. The pastries are light and flaky. The savory rolls are delectable. Always worth stopping in for something to take home.
They are located at one of those side entrances of Pearlridge Downtown (that’s the one with Ross). It’s the entrance that has Joes or Moes or something that is Mexican/Chipotle style.
Everything that we bought was delicious. We got a few savory types: turkey pot pie, kalua pork curry pan, and a ham and potato roll. We also tried quite a few of the sweet ones: custard filled and chocolate filled. Everything was great! My favorites were the custard filled and the kalua pork curry.
CONCLUSION: Will definitely be back.
Yumminess!!!! I see this type of bakery all over the place, but I never really tried them out (mostly for dietary reasons). I’m glad I decided to stop into this little joint!
So refreshing, and such polite service!!
PARKING (5/5): Wasn't able to find any available handicap parking but was able to find some regular parking stalls not too far from their entrance. It was a Saturday around lunch time so limited parking at a shopping mall is quite understandable.
I L-O-V-E their Neko Pan (cat shaped pastry filled with strawberry cream), It's just that good.
